I have upgraded to Windows XP last week.
I have an ASUS AGP-V7700 Deluxe card and under XP it no longer has Video for Windows capture drivers, only WDM.
I use Ulead capture and when I select my device to capture I can't use the ASUS compression (or any other codec for that matter) any more to capture video only YYUV is available (I think) but it produces 1.2GB/minute avi files which are a little too much for me.
What are my options to capture with WDM in a decent bitrate on my machine as I just can't afford the 1.2GB/min rate, that is way too much? I could use the mpeg2 capture of Ulead but I think real time mpeg2 caputre on my 1GHz P3 produces sub-par quality even at the largest (9000 kbit/sec) VBR rate.
