one topic is enough. if noone replies just reply to your own topic and it will be bumped to the top of the list.

A 39.50 min vcd mpg/dat can't be 630 MB. It should be about 400 MB. Are you sure it is vcd?

  3. Could it be that the video bitrate was bumped up during the original encode? If I have a movie that needs to be split onto two disks, I'll bump up the video bitrate to fill the remaining space of the disk. If that is the case, it can be re-encoded to a lower video bitrate to fit on one disk.

    Novatix,

I think I know what you're trying to accomplish. If I'm right, you have two VCDs, one is 40mins and the other 38mins. You want to join them and make one VCD out of it. Right? If so, then:

    - Copy the first VCD's .dat to your hard drive, rename it to vcd-1.mpg
    - Copy the second VCD's .dat to your hard drive, rename it to vcd-2.mpg
    - Use the Merge/Cut tool in TMPGenc's MPGEG Tools to select both of the new mpeg files.
    - Be sure to select 'MPEG-1 VCD Standard'
    - Pick a new file name for the joined VCD to output
    - Burn the new *.mpg using your favorite burning program to an 80min CDR and you're all set!!
    Have a good one,
