I have burned VCD from nero and cd creator on memorex and imation cd-r and cd-rw media. When I try to play the disk on my Panasonic DVD-RV31 I hear the audio, but see no video. I notice that the display on my DVD states PBC? Any ideas on how to proceed? Just to clear up some givens...
Operating System: Windows XP Home
Burner: Backpack CD-Rewriter 4X
Burn Software: Nero 5.5 and Easy CD-Creator
Encoder: TMPGEnc
Format: VCD NTSC

Okay, a few ideas.
what type of file was it b/4 you encoded it?
have you checked you dvd player to see if its compatible
PBC - stands for playback control -- that message is normal
did you follow a guide from this site when you did it?
is you tv on channel 3
not sure what else could help. maybe the conversion went wrong?
