  1. OK I will give a rundown of what my entire problem is.

I need to convert about 2,000 .jpg images over to a vcd using about 20 different menus for them. Each of my menus are mpeg files. Now before I have used DVD Picture show...but I cant use motion video for menus with it. I downloaded DVD Workshop but I am having trouble using it and getting what I want to do with it...it always tells me I cant add more than 10 images when adding my pics.

Anyone know any simple program I can simply convert my images into .mpg's alone and then use DVD Workshop to throw in my menus with.It would be much simpler if DVD Picture show didnt make them directly into a VCD,then I could have a mpeg. to work with from it.

I need help with the best and easiest solution to my delima.

One other thing....Is there any software out there that will allow me to use flash intro's as my menus...I had to take mine and convert to .avi then convert to .mpg .... which made me loose some quality.....if I could just use flash for the menus it would be better.

Thanks for any and all help from anyone in advance

  2. well,i can't give you a program that can convert your JPEGs immediately to a MPEG file... BUT, if you use nero, it can automaticly be done and you have 1 VCD-file on your VCD... Do look at next JPEG, just press on the SKIP TRACK button...

    Now, how to do that?

Start nero 5.5(i hope you have that, otherwise, MAIL ME), select VCD

Select your JPEGs, drag them to that screen on the left

configure your MENU setts, burn the VCD and ur done

  3. That might work.... so basically if I use Nero to make the VCD it will make the images/slideshow a .dat file onto the VCD itself.....which is actually a mpg file that you can play within media player.....

Then after that I can take the .mpg of the slideshow and then merge it with tmpgnc with my flash files (which I had to convert to .mpg also) together.

Then that will give me the end result of what I really need....

Then as I stated as what need to do with full-motion menu buttons (which again were the flash buttons I created), I could use Adobe Premier to get that effect and then just add the mpg of the image slideshow I got from Nero.

Does anyone see a major flaw in this idea or a easier and/or better way to do this? Plus when I want to add .mp3 background music will that throw this whole idea in the garbage

sorry for making this prolly a lil harder than it should be....I just have certain result I have to come out with and also I am not to good at explaining things......lol

Thanks for any and all help guys

  4. well i tried the nero idea... it doesnt make an automated slideshow...you have to manually flip through the images....so it wont make a usable mpg for me

  5. heres what i do with my jpegs. i import to windows movie maker on windows xp and i drag them to the timeline and add transitions, i then add an audio soundtrack and my motion title.
i then save that as an avi file in the highest res possible which is a big file but looks awesome i then use tmpenc to encode to vcd, or svcd and then burn to cd with nero.
if you do not have xp then you can dload movie shaker and use that or another equal
