Many CD-RW's don't know how to handle 90 minute media.
Double and triple check you burner supports it. Then enable overburning in nero and choose Disk at Once ( DAO ) burning mode too. -
I don't think your HP writer does overburning. If you just want to backup your file you can zip into chunks that will fit on a cdr. Your other option would be to cut the actual avi into chunks.

its not a backup, i just want to use the cd in order ro watch the movie whenever i put it in the cd drive.....
does any1 know if my writer supports it? I understood that if not and i try to overburn i can make damage to my burner! -
Most HP 8 & 9000 series CD-RW are just sony drives .... & VERY FEW support overburning or oversized media.
Likely you will need to Rar & split or simply split the divx w/ virtuadub.

but if i split it i wont be able to insert cd to drive and watch the movie... correct me if im wrong

well I contacted HP costumer care and they dont want to give me a straight answer, they just strongly recommand not to do it...
the question is: WHAT SHOULD I DO? I just want to burn a 740MB divx file to a CD-90R blank media in order to save and use it for watching the movie! -
I dont know whether you want to chose this option but here it is: convert your DivX to XVCD changing bitrates so that the output file is just under 800 MB and burn it using Nero to 700MB/80Min CDR - you will be able to watch it on your PC and yes, 780MB XVCD file will fit on 700MB disk (DivX won't). Only thing is that it will decrease the quality a bit - the longer the movie the poorer quality unless you want to split your file and burn onto 2 disks. 8)
