I would like to convert a 512 x 384 DiVX movie to an SVCD. I know this requires stretching the vertical resolution of the movie to 480 x 480 which isn't good, but I'd rather do that then go down to 352 x 240 VCD.
I can encode the DiVX movie to MPEG2 just fine. But during fast action scenes the top half of the picture and the bottom aren't quite in synch (see a line through the centre of the screen). I've tried both CCE and TMPEG and the same thing happens. (I used FitCD to calculate the new res for CCE)
When I encoded the movie to VCD this didn't happen. Also with 640 x 480 DiVX movies there was no problem. This makes me assume it's a result of stretching the vertical resolution.
Any ideas on how I could solve this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Alf
