I was recording a tv program with ATI AIW 7500, MMC 7.7.0.1 after 50 minutes of recording, I got the blue screen of death. using win2000pro. It had to save the file somewhere, but it was not where I had told it to, at the beginnning of the recording process..There has to be a temp file or such somewhere, I would think? 50 minutes is somewhere right? Or am I SOL? Thanks for any response.

did you do a search for the file name? or try to capture again name it then search and see if the 2 are in the same place. some temp files are not readily accessible

Yes I did, and its not there. To make it easier, here is a better description of what I am asking..If you use the the MMC7.7.0.1 it lets you name the captured file (while capturing it) to whatever you like. I did this and say I hit the reset button on my PC. My hard drive had something written to it for 50 minutes before I hit the reset button.. But I never stopped capturing the correct way..sooo...can I retrieve the file somewhere or because of the reset, it just doesnt exist ? Thanks for any response

you can use the search tool with specific file size
the 50 minute capture must be big , so try anything
over 100meg or so ,must be in temp file on windows
or neer your MMC
but i asume that reset=lost of temp file
