tmpgenc "error occured when audio is decoded"

I have an .avi file that plays fine on the computer but when I try to convert it to mpeg, I get the error message. The avi file is MPEG-1 576x320 23.976fps CBR 1150kbps, Layer-2 48000Hz 192kbps.I am using the vcd ntsc template to convert it to Video-CD NTSC (MPEG-1 352x240 29.97fps CBR 1150kbps, Layer-2 44100Hz 224kbps). This is when I get the error occured when audio is decoded message. If I try decoding it as above but leave the audio at the original 48000 x 192 it records fine but I get no sound at all.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i have the same problem, mostly at 99%
i tried to convert divx to mpeg1

TMPEGEnc has problems with 48Khz audio as you mentioned you have wmoser
I found that using an external audio encoder (which Tmpegenc) fully supports
I recomend using SCMPX

this supports full MPEG audio encoding as also frequency conversion. Which will solve this problem of yours.
