  1. Hi
    I have DivX movies with AC3 sound and convert them to SVCD movies, with subtitles. I'm using VirtualDub as Frame Server, and covert the movie with the program TMPGEnc_Plus. I'm also using Nero to burn the file to CD. So far so good.
    The problem I have is with the sound.
    I Would like to know how to convert the sound from AC3 to MPEG-2 Multi-Channel 5.1 surround audio. Is it possible? I belive it is, but propably I'm not using the correct program. I have tried a couple of them without success. I'm able to receive 2 channel sound, so I'm NOT intrested for a solution regarding 2 channel stereo.
    Regards /TETRIS

  2. I think you can apply these surround programs on a WAV file, huh... well, i dont have experience with those surround things, but i think, you can add them to WAV files

    How to make WAV files from your avi?

    1)Start VDUB
    2)Select Movie
    3)Video menuirect Stream COPY
    4)Audio menu: Full processing mode
    Compression: select the NONE(or, NO COMPRESSION)
    Conversion: Make sure it's 44.1Khz(=44100Hz)
    5) File-> SAVE WAV

    Then you have your WAV file, apply the surround filters on those WAV's and then you convert the AVI to mpeg

    BUT, in stead of selecting the AVI file as your AUDIO source (i suggest u use TMPG). Select in the AUDIO SOURCE column, the WAV file you created and edited.... convert, and there you are, you're done
