  1. Hello all,

I downloaded a VOB file over the net and was trying to convert it to mpg format to prepare to burn it to a vcd and was having some problems with the conversion after the DVD2AVI step.

I open the TMPGEncoder and have used both the wizard and the normal way and it will not recognize the d2v file at all. Is there something that I am missing? I am new to this whole VCD thing and I am sure that it may be a simple problem.

If anyone could help me, I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks,
    Don

you need to download the vfapi plugin for tmpgenc before it will read.d2v files

  3. I assume you have all the plugins install, which it should be when you first install DVD2Avi and TMPGEnc. Check under Option tab if have check mark in front of Register TMPGEnc.vfp to VFAPI (suppose to have).

If so and you still cannot load d2v file, then you have to lower DirectShow Plugin if you set it too high (default should be -2, but you will not be able to load avi file with default, so I'd suggest you leave it at 0 or 1 and change when needed).

Have you tried loading the VOB file into TMPGEnc ?, Browse (*.*)
It will convert most VOB files, also DvdX is good at converting VOB to Mpeg 1 (VCD)
