help! could anyone tell me if there is anyway of burning to a vcd a mpeg clip in its origional size? i have alot of clips of 320x240 and whenever i burn them to cd to play in my pioneer dvd player it is streched to full screen and quality goes out the window.. so could anyone tell me if or how or what framesize to convert these files so they will play in the centre of the screen in a smaller frame so the quality is still there? thanx for any help...ninja....![]()

The only way to do what you describe is to re-encode the video. This will result in further loss of quality and I doubt that you would be satified with the results.
What you CAN do is calibrate your TV. Often TV's come with their default settings set horrible for digital media ( or most media ). First things first, turn your shapness down to 0 ( or close to it ). Sharpmess/detail setting on your TV adds artifical shapeneing to the image, often this means that the normal effects of MPEG compression suddenly become little blocks all over the screen that you can see because your TV has gone and added sharpness to the image. Brightness and contrast should also be set by some known source. A quick search on the internet should turn up guides for calibrating brightness and contrast.
