  1. I just upgraded to WinXP pro so I can get over the 4GB limit and use a dual processor setup but I can't find any drivers to work with the card now. I went to the ATI site and all they had was the new version of the capture software but not any drivers for WinXP. Doesn anyone know how to get it to install on my system. Thanks.

  3. I bought the same card as you - No matter what you do it will never work right with XP - my advice is to go take that card back and go to circuit city and buy the WINtv GO($50) card from haupagge - works flawlessly in XP - also the WINTV PVR-250 - ($150) is a very nice card that im gonna get next - the WINTV GO card only captures at 320x240 without droppping frames but the PVR can capture at High resolutions with no problem and also capture mpeg one and mpeg2

ATI does not work with XP - I recently tried using a ATI all in WOnder radeon 7500 and it was complete Crap. Stick with non ATI products when usinge XP as ATI has not fully supported it yet
Ok - you got me - i dont know anything - you happy now!

  4. i disagree whooly with james kirk. i have xp and tv woner ve and it works great!! i admit the tv capture only worked ok but the vhs capture was great for a 50 dollar card and i have captured over 100 hours and convert to vcd, svcd, and dvd and it looks very near the original vhs. mmc 7.1 then capture with avi_io then encode!
movie maker captures well too but any more then 15 mins and it starts goin outta sync

  5. I use ATI TV Wonder VE with XP, and it's working as well as everything else (it has stated limitation, such as mono only, etc). It worked with the MMC 7.1 (officially released) as well as the Beta MMC 7.6 and the mix of the two. From reading everybody's posts here and at various video forums, my conclusion is none of these stuff is really user friendly with very high "Black Magic" factors. The VE is well worth the $40 I paid for it on my XP machine, but your mileage may vary 8) .

Damn I must be doing something wrong. I've got an All In Wonder Radeon 32 meg DDR and a All In Wonder Radeon 7500 and both work just fine under XP. Kirk word to the wise, don't go posting BS in the forum just because it didn't work for you. Try getting your facts straight next time.
    Warning! I'm baaaaaaaaack
