When I cut a NTSC VCD mpeg 1 file I get an audio chirp at the end of the new file. Is the only solution to demux, edit the audio and remux?

Maybe this will help:
when you select the end of a file, please make sure that it can be multiplied by 4. For example, you have selected 10 seconds of a clip. Do not make it exactly 10,00 seconds, but something like: 09,96. This worked for me on PAL.

Sorry, Lamont, your way is the only way I've found too.
I try to cut where it is quiet.
