Hi all, I'm very new at using my capture card, and I had a question. I've been able to capture fine from my tv or vcr, but i've moved to a new city and have digital cable and was wondering if there is an easy way to capture from digital cable?
Sorry if this posts twice....

If your digital cable box has composite or svideo out, hook those into your capture cards input. If not, you're stuck capturing off channel-3 or whatever.
The upside to digital cable is that the channels on the digital tier should be very clean. The downside is that they may be too skimpy on the bitrate so the video quality is already too heavily compressed to work with.
Sometimes digital cable looks like VCD, other times it look like SVCD or better. Depends on how much bandwidth the operator allocates to that channel.
