Hi, does the s-video improve good the quality, for anyone? because i used it to capture from my standalone dvd to the ATI AIWR, and it doesnt change very much than using composite.
(sorry for my bad english).
also i want to ask, if its worth to buy a VCR that has S-video output, or a Tv with S-video In/out ???

I have a new Sony DVD with both S-vidio and the three color cables. I use the three color cables out to my 65" wide screen. Looks great

It goes like this..
RF->Comosite ( yellow RCA ) -> S-Video -> Componient ( RGB RCA )
Now you wil see a diffrence on each sucessive upgrade ONLY if your source is detailed enough and your display device can really resolve it. Probably won't make a pit of diffrence on VHS. -
Exactly, no difference if your source is not high quality to begin with. And I'm still amazed at how so many people are still bewildered with the component output from their DVD players, glad someone finally realized what they are for. If your TV has component in, definitely use it instead of composite or even s-video. You will see the light.
