Well I havent set the dma to hrd drive yet, but if you want to, in Windows go to,
    1. Start
    2. Settings
    3. Control Panel
    4. System
    5. device Manger
    6. Click on generic IDE hard drives Properties,
    7. You will see a DMA option,
    8. Check it,
    9. restart your comp!

If you turn the DMA on, will it do something bad to the computer? I'm asking this cause I don't want to screw up my computer.

Usually, if you enable DMA for a device and reboot windows, if the device doesn't support DMA mode, windows will have DE-selected DMA and you don't have to worry about it anymore. If the device DOES support DMA mode, then it will remain enabled.

    It shouldn't wreck anything.
