Pass through problems with Sony DCR-TRV25

I am trying to capture live cable tv or from a vcr through my Sony DCR-TRV25 and into studio 7.11 via the firewire. My problem is I can get the LCD on the cam to show the footage and it is also showing in the capture screen in studio but when I click the capture button in studio for some reason it switches to the footage that is actualy on my cam. Then once I hit the stop capture button, the LCD and capture preview screen revert back to the vcr again. Am I missing a setting somewhere? I looked at the owners manual for the cam and I have all the cables plugged in correctly. And I can get the footage to show up in studio capture screen ok. I just don't know why it draws the footage off the cam instead of the analogue source once I hit the capture button. Please help!!

The solution is easy: take the tape out of the camcorder. It should work OK after you do so.
