  1. By following the dvd ripping guide by Sefy, i got my VOB files in order and followed instructions exactly. For some reason however, at different times on every attempt my computer will give me an illegal operation dialogue and close the program. I have tried re-downloading the software and trying different versions of it to see if it was a typical error. The version used in the demo has the added mp3 support with lame_enc.dll as a file. When i try to open this version, i get the message "unable to open lame_enc.dll" and it won't proceed. Any ideas what could be causing this. I've tried varying options, closing extra programs to leave memory open and am now on my last option. Please help. Desperately wanting to smash this computer on the ground.

  2. Which program causes the problem ? Smart Ripper or DVD2AVI ?
if it's Smart Ripper, then make sure you have ASPI v4.60 Build 1021 installed
if it's DVD2AVI, do NOT, and I repeat DO NOT use the MP3 Compression!

  3. I ripped a movie one time with dvd decryptor and when i ran dvd2avi it got to 10% and would bomb..tried it 3 times and same thing everytime. I don't know why but i decided to try re-ripping but use smartripper. When I did that, dvd2avi worked perfert. I looked at the vob files each of the ripping programs ripped and noticed dvd decryptor ripped a vob.000 file that smartripper did not rip and i think that file kept causing the problem.
