I tried to add subtitles to a DVD movie I ripped, but then I discovered that the .IFO-file wasn't there (VobSub needs it). I dont have the original DVD anymore. I do however have the .VOB-files that make up the movie.
Is there any program that will allow me to reconstruct an .IFO-file from a set of .VOB-files? Is there any other way of doing it if that is not possible?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry bro, I *think* your SOL, unless you run SmartRipper on the *already ripped* VOBs, that will likely build you a new set of just as ripped VOBs, and the .IFO that goes with them.
Never tried it, but sounds logical, no promises!
Good luck..

Well, I should ignore you, but I ask you why you are here???
if you look at baldrick's thread I replied in detail about creting DVDs from
VOB files, it is on another subject entirely...
It took me quite awhile to find help on this
subject and within a day I stumbled upon his thread that enabled me to
create an ISO image without all the BLOATola that I could mount using
Daemon Tools which I also explained how to 'fix'...
Yeah, Baldricks thread is posted in 2003 and still useful if you don't feel like
installing Nero on your system along with the 8000 registry keys that it
creates.
I see no need to defend myself because I was a newbie to all this until
yesterday.

Since you are a new member, and may not have much experience posting anywhere, I'll give you a hint. It is a good idea to get in the habit of checking the date on the last post, and thinking twice before adding a comment to a long-dead thread. "Grave digging" is generally discouraged, and is specifically forbidden in the rules at quite a few websites.
Although it is not a violation of the forum rules to dig up old threads here, it definitely irritates a certain percentage of the membership when it happens without a very good reason.
