  1. I just recently purchased a Phillips 724 and hope to take advantage of the JPEG viewing capabilities. I have managed to figure out how to make a CD that is likes w DirectCD. However, I noticed that when it displays the files that are somewhat distorted based on what their original aspect ratio was. Is there a standard set of dimensions I should be using when creating the JPEG's? Given horizontal vs. vertical pics will be different how do I keep the player from distorting them? Thanks for your help...

Or use WinonCD to create a photo cd.

All jpeg will be transformed to bitmaps ( though youŽll need a fast machine).
    And afterwards it starts burning.

    Works great on my DVD.

  6. Otherwise try Picturetotv.

This a photobook based program, which can have more than one albums. It even has a DVD menu template in it.
I have spoken to the company of this program and in the future they will expand the program with subtitle features or text transitions.

I even managed to alter one of the templates...

    Regards,

    To Jari.

I presume you are in Europe as the 723 isn't sold in North America. I checked the manual and it doesn't support jpeg full stop. Perhaps you can fiddle with the P-Code or flash it.

You might want to post your query to http://philips.ianc.net/ in the forums.

With the DVD724, one can rotate and resize pictures during the slide show which could make up for the aspect ratio. On my 16:9 TV it all looks fine.

As fare as getting pcitures onto a CD. I just dragged and dropped with DirectCD. When I stuck it in, I got the folder view, selected the first pic and away I went. This was the same on the Philips 724AT and Q35AT (North America).

    Cheers,
    Tony

  9. I am looking for a player which reads JPEG files directly.
In the compatibility list there is some confusion, since for instance the Philips 723 is there, but reported not to play these files in this forum.
Philips 724 does not seem to be available in Italy, as well as Apex.
    Any suggested brand/model?
    Thanks! Cristiano
