    hi, i ripped a movie, and it sounds good, but when i play it the video is messed up, its kinda dotted and there is a bunch of the same picture across the screen, when the movie plays the color is messed up, and it shows a picture of that scene a bunch. please help.

    a few questions: ripped w/ what? did you convert? what format is the movie your playing? playing on pc or dvd standalone?

    i ripped the dvd with smart ripper, and i encoded it to a divx with dvdx 2.0. and i played it on my comp.
