I have a Divx avi file of a movie and am trying to put on a vcd. I used Nero 5.5.9.0 and it encoded it and I burned it at 24x. The problem is with the playback I get these color blocks popping on the screen and the picture seems to change scenes a little jumpy? The original playback of the divx was crystal clear ,what happened to the vcd? What am I doing wrong ,or what can I try to get a better quality vcd?
Thanks![]()

the problem is that you used Nero to encode the movie.

Ok I am using Panasonic MPEG Ecoder now and it says it takes 6 hrs?
Does Tmpgenc take as long , or which one is better to use for quality and time
Thanks again -
TMPGenc will usually beat any of the other encoders for quality on VCD MPEG-1. To anser your second question, the better the quality settings, the longer it will take to encode.
Impossible to see the future is. The Dark Side clouds everything... -
if tmpgenc dont work try AVI 2 VCD
seems to work for my divx but takes fookin ages lol 6hours sometimes but its the quality you r lookin for
plus dam nero takes 2 fookin long anyways lol 56 hours it took me to encode a 44min film so i used tmpgenc and it was dont in a hour :P injoy oh what film you tryin 2 do???
