  1. I've ripped 'The One' to SVCD and multiplexed the video and audio.
    All is good there.

When it comes to cutting the file to fit onto 2 cd's is when the problems start.
I use the Mpeg Tools from Tmpeg to select the first half and
it cuts, demuxes and remuxes the new file to give me
the first half of the movie.
When I go to do the second half it demuxes the video, demuxes the
    audio and then locks up.
I've tried rebooting and doing the second cut again but always the
same result, demux video, demux audio lock up.

    Any ideas anyone?

  2. Yo hi,

try to demultiplex your files with TMPGEnc (simple demultiplex does it). After that, take bbMPEG and multiplex your files again. Specify the maximum size before you start your conversion.
Take a look into the how-to section how to cut, join with bbMPEG. There is a great guide how it works.
TMPGEnc has mor often Problems by cutting SVCD Streams.

I've found when cutting using TMPGEnc that at a certain stage it does appear to lock up or be doing nothing but it is actually still working away.

Try leaving it for a while and see what happens. It should be ok. A watched pot never boils and all that.
