  2. first message is ok if you don't have a hardware mpeg decoder
the second could be if you insert a mpeg file (audio and video), try to separate the audio and the video (tmpgenc could do that 4 u) and insert the video.m2v and audio.mp2 (or .ac3 or whatever you have)

this way should be ok, i made this with video and ac3-audio and it works fine.

    Hello !

I have a Sigma Design Hollywood + decoder card, but i get a "Decoder connection not established (0xc10d0001)" error message.
Can anyone tell me what is wrong?

    Thanks, D.D.G.

you need ONLY the cinemaster hardware decoder (no longer sold) OR install the cinemaster software drivers which are on the Maestro installation CD .....

if are running WinXP or win2000 sp2 or 3 you will need to install Cinemaster 2000 (latest build) software .. which is not free ..

with those options you will have realtime preview and such -- BUT , if you later install another dvd player OR if you have more than one mpeg2 player on your system it might work and it might not ..

ussually it does ok ... but i have had troubles more than once - also you can get (when theres a conflect) "wrong frame rate" on your menu warnings which make no sense ...

the cinemaster 2000 software drivers works fine with dual cpu in context with maestro but the dvd player in standalone craps out ...

so i repeat - you do not need the hardware decoder and the ONLY software decoder which will work is Cinemaster ...
