I currently have an MPEG 2 file stored as 704*480. I'm attempting to convert this to SVCD using TMPGenc.
For some reason, the outputted SVCD file looks over-exposed. I.e. it's too bright and hence certain areas are just white with no detail. This is not a problem in the source file at all.
Does anyone have any idea how to avoid this happening? I.e is there some kind of advanced filter setting or option?
Any help would be appreciated a lot.

Try one of the filters in the advance settings section of TMpeg there is one for correcting the picture quality.
