  1. hey board...i was wondering if anyone knew whether or not a panasonic cv37 could play vcd's...it does have cd-r, cd-rw playback...so i thought it might...if anyone can help me i would really appreciate it...

    I would love to know where did you get that analogy, as my VHS player can accept S-VHS cassettes as well, and I was wondering if I can use the same analogy to make it play Beta SP tapes, too. After all, both are tapes.

    Sacmonkey - the easiest, and safest way to check, if it isn't stated on the manual/front, is to make one and check. You say it reads CD-RW? Make a VCD on CD-RW and check. The Player is still in the store? Bring the CD-RW to the store and ask them to pop it in.

  5. El Torro, there are plenty of DVD players on the market
    that advertise cdr(rw) but cannot play VCD. Some won't
    play SVCD.

    so unless u know for sure..... el silencio por favor!
