  2. Hey Morbius,
are you sure it doesn't play in stereo? I used to have the problem that MMC would SAY it was mono when in fact it was in stereo but I think it was always in stereo when I captured. But my next question is do you have the newest drivers and the newest MMC? That fixed my problem instantly. Give that a shot.

  3. There is sound only coming out of one speaker also when i burn a vcd the same thing sound only out of one speaker By MMC do you mean ATI's latet software and drivers ?? if so yes loaded the latest version last week and still the same .. This morning put in video card in a spare PC and got Stereo out of it so it must be that via (CRAP) chipset . at this point solution is getting a non VIA (CRAP) chipset ..any suggestion have a 1400MHZ thunderbird processor, and plannig to build a new system is over a year away PS would like to keep RAID feature

  4. I have a VIA chipset as well. Do you have the newest 4 in 1 drivers? That can sometimes help. If that doesn't work I'd try this.....it sounds ridiculous but it works. EVERY single problem I've ever had with ATI has been solved by completely uninstalling everything ATI and then reinstalling. So after you try the 4 in 1 thing....(have you updated soundcard drivers by the way?....what sound port do you have your AIW plugged into) and after you try updating sound card drivers do this: Uninstall all your ATI drivers, delete all ati files using find file (be sensible here...only delete files you are SURE are ATI files) then clean out your registry of ALL ATI entries using reg cleaner (or similar). Then reinstall the newest drivers, the newest capture drivers, the vfw wrapper and then MMC 7.7 in that order. I'd be surprised if that didn't fix your problem.

p.s. I KNOW it is a pain in the ass.....but I can't tell you how often it has worked for me
