I have 1.9ghz AMD system, and if i use CCE to encode the video it's extremely fast and the quality is undeniably better than Tmpgenc. But i can't seem to get the audio file to work, it extract the audio to mpa but i doesn't play in my computer, even after muliplex. can anyone tell me how to solve this, or how to get mpa file from other convertions tools. thanks

ok, forget CCE for audio. There are SO many methods of extracting audio. The method I use is a little complicated to explain but here
is one that is simple and it works with great sounding audio
You will need to download:
DVD2AVI v1.77x
HeadAC3
BBmpeg or Tmpgenc
Set DVD2AVI to rip the AC3
Use DVD2AVI to select ripped VOB's and save as a project file.
Load HEADAC3 and open the .ac3 file. Select convert to mp2,
downsample to 44.1Hkz stereo, select dolby pro logic 2 - 2 tracks.
Multiplex the mp2 with your video using tmpgec or BBmpeg. -
okay that works for the DVD i make. but how about avi files uses vbr mp3 encoding, how do i convert to mp2 then?

BeSweet, there is a GUI you can download for it too.
But usually when I have a MP3 I convert it to WAV then encode to MP2. -
Once you have it in WAV format use TMPGenc or better "toolame". Have a search on google or check downloads on here and similar sites for a download.
I would suggest the following for the best "quality" conversion to MP2: VOB > GRAPHEDIT + WINDVD AUDIO FILTER > WAV > SSRC SAMPLE RATE CONVERSION (if 48>44.1khz is wanted) > TOOLAME MP2. -
