I have a dvc video camera and whatever the firewire card is that came with my Dell. I have used MGI VideowaveIII, Video Factory and Ulead to capture. None of the captures are as good of quality as when I see it on the tv. What may be the problem? Are there any settings to improve the capture?

What do you mean?
The captures look worse on the monitor than on the
TV? That is normal - videos always look sharper and more colorfull on a TV.
Or does the captured version, when watch it on TV, look worse than the original version on the tape?
Then you have to check the capture configuration
(if something like this is possible when capturing from a digital device - I don't know).
