    i'm wonting to buy a dvd writer put am at a loss.i wont to go with the dvd-r/rw format.i wont to be able to burn dvd to dvd,to play on my standalone player.
    my question is what would you say is the best write on the market.
    please help as im wonting to buy asap.

    best write on the market
    You "won't" buy or want to buy?

    Go with the Pioneer A04/104 DVD-R/RW drive. DVD-R/RW seems to be the way to go these days.

    Why not get both?

    If you go with DVD-RW/R, as far as I can tell they are all made by Pioneer.

    Except the rare Hitachi RAM/R/RW already spotted. A Panasonic including RAM/R/RW will be out supposedly in Oct.
