Look at the left panel under How to ....Convert.
There's not much to do but then I can't do much anyway.

  3. i follow what the guide said, by using vitual dub 1.3 to convert the asf file to wav or mp3, but when i load the asf file in vitual dub give an error of no video stream (which is right cause the asf file only has sound) so i went ahead with the setting on the guide, but at the end it won't let me save the wav file (the selection of saving .wav file was dim so i can't select it)

  5. C-Dub you need to stop posting.

Warlock110 you can use EOVideo to convert your ASFs and RMs to uncompressed AVIs then do your converting in Virtual Dub.

Don't forget that any tools that will convert wmv (video) or wma (audio) will also convert asf. The standard is backwards compatible. The new wmv8 codec produces pretty good stuff. The RM9 codec is leaps above anything else they have ever produced. The only problem with converting from RM it will likely have a variable "Framerate" (yes I said Framerate) the resulting avi output may go in and out of synch.

I too have seen some poor asf and rm that for me were still worth converting just because I wanted to do it. Anyone who has seen good quality files produced with the newer codecs wouln't laugh.

  7. Thank you Faceman101 and all the others for the help i'll try your method out. and C-Dub if you read my question carefully then you would see that i'm trying to get the audio of .asf file to mp3. and rm to mpg, not asf to mpg.
