Hi all,
I recently created a VCD using DVD Workshop. It consisted of 17 VCD 2.0 compliant movie clips, which I spread over 3 menus (6, 6, 5).
The VCD plays on my PC in WinDVD v4, but will not play at all on my Samsung 807 (home produced VCDs have never played on this). The VCD will play on my Philips DVDR890, but only up to a point.
The clips on menu 1 play fine, although instead of carrying onto the next clip, I am returned to the menu each time.
Five of the clips (1-5) on menu 2 play also. However, clip 6 on menu 2 and all 5 clips on menu 3 will not play when I press the corresponding button on my remote.
As I say, I have no problems in WinDVD. Is this a compatibility issue with my DVD players, or are there some techniques I need to know to make the VCD more compliant?
Thanks in advance.

It's hard to say but if it is a Philips player (they hold the patent to VCD), I would suggest that there is a problem with the authoring.
The best VCD authoring solution is probably VCDImager +/- a GUI (e.g., VCDEasy).
