  1. Hi Guys,

So far, so good! I've ripped Black hawk Down to HD using EVCD, but TMPGenc keeps crashing.

At the last attempt I have got TMPGenc to load the d2v and Wav files, but it then tries to save a MPEG2 file. How do I get it to save two MPEG1 files?

  2. Hi Guys,

When I try to open the d2v file I get a "Can't load p3package.dll" message. Any ideas?

  3. Eazy VCD has some problems on windows 98.
But I only have one computer and I don't have the time to install all the other OS's to test Eazy VCD out propley.

On the up side, Eazy VCD will work perfectly in Windows XP.

Gotta say I was a real sceptic before I used this for the first time, not any more though!

I've done 15 films so far and only had one problem (On W2K with ripping errors at the Vstrip stage) with Austin Powers 2, tried it on my XP based laptop and it's ripped perfectly though. Like you implied, maybe this is one piece of software that XP will excel with! LOL

One question though, how long will it be for a version where you can save your work at each seperate stage? Now that would make the prog really great! 8)

  7. Cue/Bin vs. MPEG

I'm having success with this using Cue/Bin files. Forgive me for this newb question., but what are the advantages/disadvantages with ripping to an MPG file instead? When I was using DVDx 2.0, it only ripped to MPG, and that's when I got audio-sync issues. Is that the difference?????

  9. To Quake2Player

not realy any diferance in BIN/CUE vs MPEG

it just saves you doing all the settings in your burning software.
I would recomend that you use Bin/Cue to avoid making any wrong prefs in your burning software.

PAL already suported, unless you meen convert NTSC to PAL.

MPEG2 I am working on next

Subtitles will be implements with MPEG2 only (SVCD, DVD)

  10. Why subs with MPEG2 only ?
Permanent Subs are possible with DVDx and FlasK also for MPEG1.... I'm not really satisfied with DVDx and FlasK/XMpeg because the crash too much, so I am still hoping something else shows up that does the subs trick without needing to frameserve.

  11. This software sounds great, but I can't get it working! I keep getting an error 13 Type Mismatch on startup, and it closes. I have installed the ASPI layer. Win 2000 Pro.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Les.

  12. I have already ripped the VOB's and IFO to my HD. Can I just open the IFO and go from there? I dont see this option anywhere in EasyVCD. I don't have the movie anymore... becuz...ummm....i had to take it back...i mean...lets just say i dont have it... I want to just use the VOB's from my comp and go from there...let me know if this is possible.

Anyway...i've using SVCD for a long time..making 3-CD 2-hour movies...but ive decided that its just not worth the effort and time. It would take me 20 hours to encode a SVCD with 2-pass vbr, while it will take me half the time with VCD, and the quality still is good. I think im just going to stick with standard VCD...and use the empty space on the CD for some extras maybe...

  16. Ok... now this is VERY ODD... so far here's a list of my successful rips using this great software (all NTSC, in their original aspect ratio):

    - Stuart Little
    - X-Men
    - Gladiator
    - Beauty & the Beast: Enchanted Christmas
    - Atlantis (Disney's animation, just added this).
    - We Were Soliders (Mel Gibson flick, also just ripped)

I got AUDIO-SYNC problems with this:
    - Winnie the Pooh - A Very Merry Pooh Year (2002)

???? Why is this happening? I don't quite know what's different about this particular title vs. the others except that the Pooh one is a recent DVD released this year. Tonite I'll try ripping another title and see what happens.

Anyone have a clue to this inconsistency?
