I have a movie on my HD, separated into chapters, still in .vob
format. I want to author these to DVD, but none of the burning
programs I've tried (Prassi and MyDVD) will accept the .vobs.
Here's what I have:
I ripped a DVD to the HD by chapters. So I have a directory like
this.
Scene 1.vob 387,848 KB
Scene 2.vob 380,283 KB
Scene 3.vob 130,516 KB
Scene 4.vob 224,708 KB
Scene 5.vob 79,000 KB
Scene 6.vob 125,170 KB
Scene 7.vob 118,240 KB
Scene 8.vob 61,418 KB
Scene 9.vob 5,044 KB
I now have a DVD-R burner and want to burn these files. The
problem is I need an .ifo file. Is there a program, that can
create an ifo just by looking at the files if i tell it those
are the chapters?
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

Ifoedit will create Ifo's for you. Rename your vob's VTS_01_1.VOB,etc.
Play it and make sure it's playing in the corect order. You may need to use VOBedit to join them and correct the ID's.
