I have ripped a dvd.using dvd2svcd so far so good.I have read as many rellevant guides as i can.from the movie file I bunrt the muxed mpegs in nero 5.5 good quality.but cannot wind foreward on standalone dvd player so as i understand it i need to burn the cue/bin files to retain the indexes.
heres my problem i have followed the guide to burning cue/binfiles .If i select burn image file in the pop up window movie files I have to change image files at bottom (nothing shows)to all files .If I then select ,open CD_Image_File_CD1.cue and try to write pc cannot find it . cue file and log shown at bottom. So I tried using daemon tools followed guide copied virtual drive cd1 plays ok in power dvd when copied does not play.so i tried new guide and cdrwin 3.8 cannot find my recorder onscsi or ide bus.One problem i am aware of my pc dvd player is not dma enabled but ok recording at the right speed. What am i doing wrong.
Thanks for any help in advance.stand alone does support svcd.

If you want to persist in using Nero to burn CUE/BIN images, your version is definitely too old. I suggest that you upgrade to the newest vesion (5.5.9.x).
The older versions had problems burning CUE/BIN images.
Alternatives for you include CDRDAO + VCDEasy (as a GUI). Make sure you upgrade/install your ASPI layer with ForceASPI if VCDEasy states that your "ASPI Layer is not valid".

thanks for the reply but yesterday was a long day I burnt a succesfuff svcd with chapters from cue /bin files using daemon tools and doing a cd copy of the virtual drive as the guide says. The result is fisrt class quality .The one thing I will have to do now for my next is to include 5.1 surround.
