i'm trying to convert an avi to mpg using tmpgenc. when i open the file it says "audio not supported". if i use my friends computer, it opens and converts the same file just fine. do i need to have a certain codec installed or something like that. any help appreciated.

Change the codec reader settings in TMPGEnc under Option->Environmental settings->VFAPI plug-in and right click on the DirectShow Multimedia File Reader and increase the priority to 1 or 2.
