    I have a MSI G4Ti4200 128mb video card running on a msi motherboard with Windows 98. When I video capture in the pal format it runs fine, then when I stop the recording the monitor goes black. I still have sound though. It records fine in NTSC format but crashes when I record an MPEG in pal.

    Hmm!!!!! has anyone out there experienced this before.

    I am going to take a wild guess and figure that you live in the US, Canada or Japan, etc. It sounds like your capture card only supports NTSC there really is know real way to capture PAL on an NTSC capture card, Sorry
