  1. Hi,

I've been using TMPGEnc with success to convert various video files to Vcd's, but i've gotten stuck with one file in wmv format.

Tmpgenc will covert the video but I get a message saying "can not open, or not supported", when trying to load the audio file.

I tried VDub v1.3c to convert to avi, but when I load the file the program performs a "reconstruct asf index block" function, and knocks the audio and video out of sync by about 3sec.

I also tried the Stoik videopak, but that program freezes when i click the start button to begin the conversion. (other files work).

From what i've read on this board, I should have all the neccessary codecs - nimo, DivX 5, MPEG 4 V 2,3,4, DivX 3.11 Alpha, DivX Audio, MPEG layer 3 etc....

    Any suggestions???

  2. Have you tried extracting the audio (to a new wav file) in Virtual Dub, then encoding said wav file? Might work.
