Edonkey right now is my most hated program and here's why.
1.) It auto-shares my documents, even if i tell it not to.
2.) It shares a folder called "edonkey incoming" which I have told it not to.
3.) Once you start downloading a file, 50 people start to upload it. You can't get any downloading done because there uploads choke the bandwith out.
I cursed a guy out for doing that today I'm so mad. Someone help me with these programs. I share a folder of MP3's and vidoes and I don't mind if people download that, BUT I DO NOT WANT PEOPLE DOWNLOADING FROM MY DOCUMENTS AND FROM THAT FOLDER WHERE I KEEP INCOMPLETE FILES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Limit the total bandwith for uploads to less then your total that way there is some left over and your download doesn't choke.
Personally I've started using Overnet, but the same applies there also for the most part. -
If you limit your up, it automatically limits your down.
Someone should make a hack so it doesn't share incomplete files.
I don't mind sharing my complete files, it just so pisses me off when I have 2 ppl downloading at 30kbs from me, a file that I have only downloaded a few megs of.
