  2. Ok On a SVCD it uses twice time as a regular VCD so with my experince using 80min. CD's you can put 38min. and 30 seconds, without overburning, I have put upto 40min. and 30 seconds with using overburing turned on at 81min. 45 seconds using NERO 5.5.
Also did you know that on SVCD it has 4 - 2 channel audio tracks you can use, I have not figured how to use the other 3 yet.

You can fit anything from 35 minutes and up to say 100 minutes/CD. It's all depending on the video and audio bitrate you choose. Less minutes/CD means of course better quality.

About up to 50-60 minutes/CD is an acceptable quality. But it depends on lots of stuff as what encoder, how to source is and so.

  4. Does that mean that you're really looking at 3 CDs to get a standard sized film on to SVCD format?

You could probably fit a standard length film on 2 CDs (esp. if you use 80min media) and still have acceptable quality.

You probably don't need to venture into 3 CDs until your film is over 2 hours long.
