In a nutshell, I used Vdub the same way I've done countless times, using keyframes to shorten an anime episode to fit to disc. However, when I play it back in Windows Media Player, the video seems to freeze, stutter and get out of sync with the audio. If I play it back in the freeware graphics program, Irfanview, while I have no sound, pre or post edit, the video doesn't stutter at all.
I tried to play the edited version in PowerDVD and it did the same thing as media player, which for the record, plays the unedited version fine.
I'm running Windows 98 SE.
Can anyone help me with this? Anyone familiar with Irfanview?

Okay, just an update. I'm trying to burn 4 eps to a disc and I've been going from one to the next seeing if it makes any difference, since in the past, it has. On the 3rd one, I've noticed that both "run out" of audio less than midway through the episode once edited, regardless of which viewer I use.
I've followed the tutorial here on how to edit an AVI, even going a few steps further and using keyframes to denote edits, but it makes no difference.
What could be causing this? Is it something to do with the original encode?
