  1. why should i not use nero (with plug in) to encode to SVCD

    I am reading that TMPGe is the way to go but I need to buy something to encode DivX to SVCD?

    TMPG is much better than TMPGenc for encoding SVCD's.

    You can burn SVCD's with VCDeasy.

    Yep... type... supposed to be NERO...

    And to answer the last question...

    YES TMPGenc has better quality and speed ( except two pass VBR where the quality is even better but takes longer ). Tmpgenc wins in options and flexability too.

  6. Thanks, I will download it now. The latest version is 2.58. Will this convert my DivX avi files to SVCD assuming I follow the guides on this page?
