After encoding a file to SVCD using TMPGEnc, there comes an error-message when i'm trying to open it with VirtualDub.
There's written "unable to open - pack syncronisation error"
What's wrong?

I might be wrong but I think VirtualDub is not supposed to open MPEG2 encoded files.

Correct, VDub can only open mpeg-1 because it has a built in mpeg-1 decoder.
You could use DVD2AVI to create a vfapi .avi and open that in Vdub, or use AVIsynth and then open the .avs in Vdub. So if you really need to there are ways.
