I have a Matrox marvel g200/tv capture card. I'm having the devil of a time capturing using virtual dub. Has someone using this card, or the g400 had sucess? If so, what settings are you using?
Using the Matrox Matrox PC-VCR Remote, I get a very good capture. But I then have to process the resulting mpjeg/AVI through Vdub to get it into TMPGEn for encoding. I would like to be able to capture directly using Vdub.
I'm also making an assumption here..... If I'm capturing (using Vdub) using the Matrox Vidcap driver, Is this still using the hardware compression of the video board, or does this use software compression and muck with the video quality?

I threw my Matrox Rainbowrunner away in frustration a long time ago, but the if you go to matroxusers.com you'll find lots of people that can help you with matrox gear in the dekstop video forum.
