OK. I have an old DVD player which does not support playing VCD's that are CDR. I have a curious question. There are hacks for alot of players to make them region free and other things. I noted that no one has found a chip mod for the samsung DVD 709 to allow it to play CDR's at all. I am wondering is this due to a hardware problem w/ playing a CDR? I am basically asking is it now possible to play CDR's w/ a chip change in the player or is it that the player is probably so old that no one is interested in trying to change the software for the chip. JUST CURIOUS. Thanks.
