O.K This will be amusing l'm sure to most but trust me l've had many sleepless nights now! l am trying to encode using TMPGenc for an eventually burn (using the DVD PAL template etc). The stages l have gone from are as follows, l have used Smartripper to rip the movie which has worked ok. I then have used DVD2AVI to create my wav file and movie file which seems to works. My question and worry is within the TMPGenc settings l have basically followed the format which is given in smartripper after the rip, for example Video type =PAL frame size=interlaced Aspect ratio=4:3 frame rate 25fps. These settings l have inputted into TMPGenc using the highest quality encoding rates also. The part which l am not sure about is Bitrate values, now l have used the information smartripper gave me about the bitrates of the movie which were for example Values= average bitrates(3151) the max bitrates= 2516 and the min bitrates=1145 l used these settings within TMPGenc for it's process of encoding also using the 2passvbr setting. Would this be correct or am l way off the mark with what l am doing........? l am encoding the film as l write this and won't know until tomorrow if l have make a mess of it. l will need to buy a dvd re-writer soon which as you know are not cheap! so l would really like to have the confidence that l am as least going in the right direction with this! P.s l have Nero is this good enough also to burn with or should l be using a different burn program? any reply or help would be greatly appreciated.....'' thank you.![]()
