I have this flickering footage after encoding to mpeg-2 at the moving scenes. I use procoder to encode mpeg2 for DVD from premiere timeline at VBR 2pass at bitrate 7100, max bitrate 9800. The footage was captured by my own camera. The flicker only happens at the moving part of the video, like when I pan or tilt the camera. I tried other encoders like the Canopus MPEG module and CCE....all give me that flickering video at that moving scenes after encoding. When I play it from the premiere timeline or even the VHS copy I made from the timeline, it's all smooth, no flickering at all. I tried to change different interlacing settings, field order and different birates, still same thing happened. I tried different bitrate, but the flicker is still there at the moving parts. This is not my first time encoding in mpeg-2, and I never had this problem before.
    Many thanks in advance...

    I have the same problem.

Flickering scenes, mainly when camera moved. What bitrate should be used to encode my dv avi file to mpeg 2 ?

    Thanks,

    Gerrit
