YOU NEED TO DOWNLOAD THE VFAPI PLUGIN FOR TMPGENC SO IT WILL RECOGNIZE THE .d2v project file. download it to the tmpgenc folder and run the install and the try again it should work.

If you are just starting and are pretty new to ripping encoding and such this is a great guide to begin with.

    http://www.afterdawn.com/articles/archive/dvd2vcd_with_smart_dvd2avi_tmpgenc.cfm

Once you get the basics of this down then you can start tweaking settings and figure out how to improve quality and things like that.

i find this guide a lot easier than the one on vcdhelp.com's website

try to increase the priority on the vfapi plug in. on tmpg>options>environmental settings>vfapi plug in, then right click on the direct show multimedia file reader and increase its priority to 2 or 3. do this with the project file reader as well. hope that helps ya

    dragonsau1988,
What version of DVD2AVI are you using?. Some people have reported problems using the latest version (v1.77.3). I suggest you try using v1.76 to create your project file and see if this helps.
    Warning! I'm baaaaaaaaack
