Way off topic but need help

This is way off topic and I apologise but I really would appreciate some help from you Mac Guru's.

I have been offered G4 500MP. The seller has said he worked for an Apple reseller and has put this machine together (has no serial#!) and so I am very dubious and would appriciate some advice. Here are my questions :

He said "The motherboard has the newer chipset that does not have the
transistor that burns out, as well as the 4x agp slot" Is this BS, or does he know what he's talking about ?

He has said the unit has 10/100 ethernet but this unit should have gigabit ?
(I am waiting for a reply to this question, he may be mistaken?)

He is selling the unit w no power supply or hard drive, should I be worried ?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Save you money and get a Dual 1.25 G4 Tower!!

That G4 500MP(gigabit ethernet) if memory is correct gives you 2X AGP , 3 64 bit 33mhz pci slots, 4 dimmslots for PC100 SDRAM . 2 ATA/66 channels , and of course gigabit ethernet, The G4 466-733(Digital Audio) were the first G4's that had AGP 4X plus an extra pci slot. Well anyways hope that helps
