  1. is the best to make a svcd with excellent quality and is playable on most dvd players?

    and where do i get them?

    tested a few from vcdhelp, but i am not that much satisfied

    Tmpgenc has its own default svcd settings which will work just fine - change motion to high or highest quality though. Unless your looking to make an XSVCD the templates in tmpgenc should do you just fine. You can also change it to 2pass vbr rather than cbr for better quality (takes longer too)
